My name is Julie. The property I sold is in Burnie, Tasmania. The agent that sold my property was Jenayah from Hampton Peters. I had another property on the market and I met Jenayah through that. I decided to use Jenayah again to sell my mom’s property and I thought she was wise beyond her years and I struck up a friendship with her. You could trust her to keep confidences and she was just lovely to deal with. I wasn’t really worried because I knew that she would sell it eventually. She was looking for people in the community that she thought might like to buy it.We had about three or four offers. The person from upstairs in the unit, this block of units, offered about $580,000. The person that bought the property, they didn’t see our property online. Jenayah actually found them through her ways and means, through her community connections.I thought I would just sit and wait and maybe once every two weeks, I might get a call to say what’s happened, if anything. But I found that Jenayah contacted me at least once a week, told me what was going on and who was going through.The buyer’s son was looking for a house and Jenayah was showing him through a house and his parents came along with him to have a look. Jenayah just mentioned to the parents that there was a unit for sale down on the nice beach front of Burnie. She showed them through my mom’s unit, and they ended up buying it. The price that she offered was substantially more than the people upstairs had made and it was above the asking price as well.


I think she was able to get that price because she actually took time to show her into the unit, and gave her as much time as she wanted in the unit, told her all about the place and the beautiful view. I don’t think she really cared about the price and ended up loving the place,


I’ve got another property on the market as well and Jenayah selling that for me as well. I wouldn’t have asked anybody else to sell it for me.

My name is Jennifer. The name of the agency that sold my property is Hampton Peters.


The property has been on the market with three different agencies and we really didn’t get hardly anyone to look. We couldn’t sell the property for about three or more years.


We didn’t have open home for inspections because I usually like to be here when somebody comes through and get the feedback. You don’t know the people, so you just like to be here. In case anything happens.


The other agents didn’t work hard enough for me.


We decided to put our house on the market when she explained everything to us. She was excellent and awesome. She just did everything that we wanted to do. She was there, took the phone call and did everything. The other agents just didn’t actually follow up so much. They didn’t show the same interest as Jenayah did. So that’s why I really liked her, the way she dealt with us. Yeah, it was really good.


Jenayah took about four days to sell our house. We were shocked really. We just couldn’t believe that it was really sold.


The price was amazing, Jenayah had done really good and got more than what we asked for. We were really surprised. The other agents, they always want you to bring down your price to get a buyer. But not in this case.


I guess she just put herself out there and went above and beyond on everything. It was excellent what she did for us. I can’t highly recommend her enough.


The price we was advertising the property for was $310,000. Well, when Jenayah gave us a price, yeah, I thought maybe the people will want to knock us down to probably $300,000 or roughly about that. The final selling price was $315,600.


I don’t know how Jenayah did that, but she just did it. I don’t know, she came back with it at four o’clock on a Sunday afternoon and got more for it.


The money we get for selling our home, that’s one good reason, to get into another house. I know she must have put a lot of work into it, Jenayah, because she was just out there and done it all for us. And it didn’t take long, so obviously she’s trained very well.


We paid Jenayah a higher fee because she done the work for us, more than what the other agents would do for us. So we were happy with that.

My name is Danielle King and the property I sold is in Upper Burnie with the help of Jenayah from Hampton Peters Burnie. We spoke to three other agents prior to choosing Hampton Peters Real Estate but I didn’t like the other agents’ lack of feedback.


Jenayah was really interested in selling our property. She got back to us even when I wasn’t expecting to hear from her. I guess she showed that she wanted to sell our property, whereas I lost other agents or I had to go chasing them to follow what they thought about our property. Whereas Jenayah was always there.


Many years prior Jenayah made herself known, when we were looking at finding someone to possibly sell our house few years ago and kept in contact all those years. I guess she created a friendship outside of that but also she kept coming back. Jenayah was really comfortable with letting us decide the price of our property. Jenayah knew that there was a lot of interest in our property and she was confident in telling the potential buyers that and that secured us a really good price on our property. We were asking $250,000. The final selling price was $252,000. ” We didn’t expect an outcome like we got. It sold in one day.


Jenayah already had a great contact base. As we were doing the photography for the property, she was already calling a potential buyer. That buyer did put an offer in on the property but missed out, but that goes to show how great Jenayah’s database isAnd it’s not really about her advertising to sell, she’s already got people in mind.


Reliable Real Estate Agents BurnieI believe Jenayah’s fees were really great in comparison. If we had issues selling our house due to wanting to list at a higher price, at least we could then pull out and go somewhere else. That didn’t end up happening anyway. Jenayah could charge whatever she wanted, I’d be happy for her to sell my property, no matter what cost. Other agents were just out to get your money.


I believe Jenayah chose us as much as we chose her and she felt confident in selling our house and what she could do for us like we were family in the end.


I don’t think we would have got the same result with another agent. I don’t think we would have bonded, therefore they would have been confident to sell our house for the price we wanted.


If we’re comparing to other properties in the area, we definitely got a great price for our property above what most get considering the other standards for the same bedrooms.


I have since referred a few friends to Jenayah, who have started to go through the process of looking for an agent to sell their house. And from my experience, I don’t think they would hesitate in using her also.

My name is Susan Everett and we sold with Hampton Peters Real Estate in Burnie. Over a period of time, we had been thinking to put our property on the market but hadn’t come to a decision. A lady from the office where she worked called and we had a bit of a chat. The next thing, Jenayah is sitting in our kitchen, talking to us about selling the property.


Leading up to the time when we put our house on the market, I had been researching property sales in the area and that sort of thing. So, I had a rough idea of what we’d probably get for it. It was just making a decision when would be the best time to sell. And the opportunity arose.


When Jenayah came and saw us, she instilled in us some confidence that she would be able to sell the property and she was willing to listen to what we had to say in terms of we weren’t interested in people trudging through the house every hour of the day. We wanted a quarter approach and she was able to say least for a trial period and wouldn’t even bother advertising. So, that gave us a bit of confidence to think she would probably look after us and our interests and get the house sold.


Stress Free SellingThe property wasn’t advertised. I think that was helpful to the buyer because it put the property on the edge. It hadn’t been exposed to the market. No one else had seen it. For the particular buyer that bought our property, it was probably the one he was looking for but he didn’t know it. From my knowledge, Jenayah had been helping this person that was looking for a property over a period of time. She seemed to know what he was after and when she saw our property, she thought he probably would be interested in it.


The fact that Hampton Peters wouldn’t charge advertising for selling your property, I think will continue to be appealing to me but also other people in the area would find that a reason to go to that agency.


No photos were taken of the property. There was an inspection where the whole team went through and assessed what they thought the property would go on the market for.


was happy with the price that we were given because it showed a range and what I’d done previous to that was actually researched what houses in this area were selling for. I had a bit of an idea and then the people that assessed the property affirmed what probable price we would get.


Once we signed the contract or we were just heading up to sign the contract, I felt the price that we got was a reasonably good one, in the current market. I think Jenayah handled herself very well and she followed us up, every step of the way. She kept in communication with us so we were informed in terms of what the buyer actually first initially offered and then she began the process of negotiating, which we were really impressed. The buyer started at the lowest price, of course, $250,000. Then Jenayah began the process of negotiating the price because she knew where we were heading. They’ve got a network of people that are interested in a house.


I felt Jenayah, at all times was working for us and I believe that she did her level best to actually negotiate a really good price for us. When we put the property on the market, I had already looked at different properties in the area to see what price they were asking. We got the top end of what a house in this area would get. I’d suggest, anyone that was putting their house on the market would take Jenayah’s approach to selling because it’s no-hassle and stress-free.

We bought our house in Montello in Burnie, Tasmania. We first contacted Jenayah before we came to Tasmania and we were so impressed with how quick she was in getting back to us and giving us personal attention. She also talked about the homes that we had seen on the internet and her listings.


We took the ferry over to Tasmania and we came right over here to this area and got a hold of Jenayah and she had things lined up for us to see and she gave us great attention with the stuff we wanted to see. Even before we came to Tasmania, she had her team looking for houses for us. And she took the time to find out what we were interested in.


When I talked to Jenayah, she had several houses for us to look at and we went and looked at them. We drove by a couple of them, kind of eliminated them and so nearing the end of the week, this was all done in about a week’s time, she said, “Hey, there’s a house. It’s dropped in price. It’s right in the area that you’re looking for. Peter’s over there right now, showing it to another couple and so you can go over there and have a look.”


Superb Buying ExperienceWe wanted to look at it right away so when we came here, we were actually first here and we met Peter and the other couple did come in so there were both of us looking around. After we left, I told Jenayah, “Yeah, let’s go to the office,” because we wanted to make an offer on the house. I knew that you really needed to act on something that had a price reduction like that so we were right on it.


I believe the price had originally started out at about $285,000 but it had dropped down to $230,000. So she told us the strategy and we offered actually over the asking price and then we beat the other couple and offered like $231,657 or something like that.


We had looked at a lot of different properties with several different agents, I think probably maybe six different agents within just this area alone. Some of the other agents, I would say probably all the other agents that we talked to, they would show us these houses and then that would be it. With Jenayah, there was more discussion involved and follow up and that we really appreciated. She also took the time to explain how things worked and we felt really confident and comfortable with the process.


We definitely recommended Jenayah. We’ve had two friends that have put their houses on the market and we told them about our experience working with her and I think both of them listed with her. I know one of them has sold and I think one of them is still on the market or just went on recently.


I like to buy things from agents whose personality are great and she was just vivacious and happy and showing us through the process and asking us questions about fixer uppers that we thought about or houses where we didn’t have to do anything about. She asked all the good questions because we really didn’t know ourselves exactly how much work we wanted to put into a property. If there was ever a day that we decided to sell our house, we would only go with Jenayah.

My name is Julie. The property we sold was in Penguin. The name of the agency is Hampton Peters. The name of the agent was Peter Bull. We liked Peter, he was upfront, he was honest. We were comfortable with him. Some real estate agents are very pushy, they avoid answering your questions, and you just do not feel comfortable with them. You need to go with a real estate agent that makes you feel comfortable.


Peter, bringing people through was very appealing to us because he was actually bringing people through that were interested in our property, true buyers, not people just wandering around having a look. He would spend time with the buyers and he was able to gauge their true interest, and whether or not the house was suitable for them. We would not have been comfortable with people just walking in and out of our house, and looking at our things.


The price that Peter gave us on the valuation was more than we expected that our house was worth, and the final selling price was actually more than we expected to get for it. We thought the price we would get would be around about $210,000, the final selling price was $240,000, which was absolutely awesome. The extra money we got from the sale of our house enabled us to afford that little bit more than what we were expecting, so that was just awesome.


If we hadn’t achieved the price we got for our house, we would never of been able to afford to move in to this place, which is our dream home. We were happy to pay a little bit more to have Hampton Peters sell our property because you get what you pay for.


It took our house 19 days to sell. We actually thought it would take a lot longer to sell our house, so 19 days was just awesome. The house sold so quickly because Peter is the right person to match the buyer to the house. He was very, very good at giving us the confidence that our house would sell for a good price, in a good time period. What we always wanted to do, Peter has enabled us to do, and now we’re living the dream.

My name is Janet Downs. The thought of selling my home of 25 years was daunting. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done and one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.


Before I signed Peter, I interviewed maybe four or five real estate agents. I didn’t like the way they were a little pushy. I did have my property on the market with another agent for three months. He was pushy. People would come through, and I got a lot of negative feedback. That was disheartening because I’ve had sat on the market with the other real estate.

I think he was able to get a better price because of the way he approached it. He sold, I guess the personal aspects of it all because people would walk in and see what’s on the wall, but he would just explain to them it was black wood, you know, double brick, and how the things were, personal things, just the things that matter.


People got to know the property and the people that lived in it. And how to sell it because he knew what it meant to us. So, he knew what the kind of people and the family that we wanted to sell it to, and who would appreciate it the way we did.


Peter told me a figure. It was exactly what I wanted. I would like to have got a little bit more, but I understood from research that what I would be getting. So, when I did sell, Peter worked really hard to make sure that I got the best possible figure that I could, and I got that.

Selling the house was a pretty big decision, and we’d gone through a fair few real estate agents. We only had one buyer come to the house, to start with, and tried to undersell it by a massive amount. It was about $80,000 less than they wanted to actually market our house for, which obviously we weren’t happy with because we had a set price in mind.


The price of this place that we first got offered was high threes, which was hugely deflating.


And we knew the market; we had been watching houses for a while because we were thinking about selling. So, as soon as he left we kind of knew, no way. We could sell for way more. We were shocked. We were surprised when they quoted us the figure that they did.


I come in start ripping wallpaper off the wall thinking I’ve got to renovate more if that’s the price we’re getting. I was trying to calm him down like, settle down now. We weren’t happy but yeah. It spurred us on to get a bit more.


“Jenayah had come through the house and she took a team ofagents through as well, and the price that she quoted to guaranteeto get for our house was well above what the other agent hadquoted, I think she had guaranteed us somewhere $80,000 more.Yeah, it was around $80,000 more.”


So if she had actually sold our house for any less we wouldn’t have had to pay any commission. So we were stoked with that.


We thought well we’re guaranteed to get a good price and if she doesn’t get us what we want we’re not going to pay her a commission basically. With that kind of confidence, how could you go wrong? Exactly! It’s the first real estate agent that I’ve seen ever that will actually guarantee that she would actually get the price that we wanted. She’s confident and she knew the market and she was ready to sell.


It was definitely appealing to us that Jenayah wasn’t just going to open the door and have an open home basically and let everyone come through our home. Knowing that the only people coming through were potential buyers was fantastic and I think everyone that Jenayah brought through, put an offer down. They did, yeah.



So only after about oh, four days, yeah, if that! If that! Jenayah came to us with a couple of offers in hand and she actually got us an offer that was over what we were actually asking for the property. The asking price I think we had was $469,000 and Jenayah brought us within a couple of days an offer of $475,000.



I was stoked when she brought us that offer, like for over our asking price, I mean we were expecting to sell a little bit under our asking price, as you do, but selling over that was just amazing! If you were choosing to sell, typically you would want to choose an agent that wouldn’t charge you as much commission.


So she was costing us a little bit more, but she had guaranteed that sale price for us, and she had promised us that she would get us the best price possible for our house. And her negotiation skills that I had witnessed, were definitely above the rest. We definitely wouldn’t have gotten the asking price for our house or the price that she got us with anyone else, that’s for sure, and she was well worth the extra money.

The buyer came from a person that Jenayah had done previous business with. They know what we want and they know how to look after us.

We had our property on the market for a total of about 12 – 14 months. First agent we paid eighteen hundred dollars for the advertising. And the second agent we paid twelve hundred dollars so we paid three thousand dollars and got no return. The property with Hampton Peters took less than a week. We advertised it at $439,000 and Jenayah ended up getting more than that for the property. The end result was that she had it for three days and SOLD. She did make the other agents look second rate.

After two years two agents and handing out a lot of money and lots of frustration… wasted time regarding open house etcetera. I finally got a sale with Jenayah at Hampton Peters. They were amazing! My name is Ally, My property that I sold is in Wynyard… I was with two different agents prior to Hampton Peters I ended up being on the market for over two years and they took an awful lot of money off me to promote my property. So it is very disappointing really when I didn’t get any outcome.


It was very frustrating being on the market and not selling because we did many opens and no shows, and no feedback. When the agent doesn’t get back to you you feel deflated. You put a lot of work and effort into doing an open and presenting your property and then you get nothing in return. Both agents did have a great sales pitch initially and obviously then we signed on the dotted line and handed over the extortionate amount of dollars the first agent we probably parted with nearly three thousand dollars. The second agent was just under five hundred dollars.


Again no feedback it was always negative. They tried to get me to reduce the price of the first agent managed to get me to do that but still no avail and the second agent as well did try. When Jenayah came to see me it was a different story altogether. She was honest and very very calm very helpful. She gave me a good appraisal you know which was the price I actually got from my property. It was the final selling price was the asking price. It was awesome.


It was a lovely surprise. I was expecting a bit in the … But that didn’t occur this time. It was wonderful, I got the price that I wanted. Once Jenayah’s team came on board.


It sold within five six weeks. I think…

Agent, Peter Bull, accommodated our initial enquiries regarding this property from our NZ base.

He was extremely professional and friendly and gave us a video tour of the property that was informative and thorough and we were very grateful for his efforts to bridge the distance for us. Subsequently, he kept us informed on property interest until we could return to Tasmania and view it in person. Again he gave us all the time we needed, found answers to our many questions and we felt no sales-type pressure. Once we had decided to make an offer, Peter showed a professionalism we were impressed with, becoming the go-between through negotiations with the vendors. I remember commenting to him at this stage that, should we succeed but then ever sell the property in the future, we would want to engage him as our selling agent. That did not mean we felt he was overtly favouring the vendor’s interests, but more that he represented them honestly and ethically whilst trying to do his best for us too. Being the negotiator is a tricky part to play, but Peter did it whilst increasing our trust that he really was doing his best for both parties. Communications and responses throughout this process have been exemplary. We remain impressed and grateful customers of Hampton Peters.
